Peter is a research analyst and portfolio manager with the firm and has been a financial market professional since 1980. In addition to working closely with clients, his focus is on in-depth equity and fixed income research with an emphasis on finding discounted value in securities.
Prior to joining Oarsman Capital, Peter was a principal and co-founder of Kitzinger Lautmann Capital Management, Inc. Before co-founding KLCM in 1993, Peter spent eight years as a research analyst and portfolio manager with First Wisconsin Trust/U.S. Bank Trust. He was also a securities analyst with Transamerica Investment Services.
Peter earned a Master of Science degree in Finance at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he was a participant in the Applied Security Analysis Program. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Colorado College. He was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1984.
